This website has no forms, no logins and no tracking cookies. No health information passes through it.

The hosting provider records standard access logs — IP address, timestamp and the page requested — for security and operational purposes. That information is not used to identify individuals.

Patient records are governed by Icelandic health records legislation and by data protection law. Information arising from your treatment is entered into your patient record and is accessible only to the healthcare staff involved in that treatment.

Health information counts as sensitive personal data and is handled as such. It is neither passed to third parties for marketing nor used for any purpose other than your treatment.

TODO: state which patient record system the practice uses, who hosts it and where the data is stored.

Information is shared only where it is necessary for your treatment or required by law — for example when referring you to a specialist.

TODO: confirm whether the practice has an agreement with Sjúkratryggingar Íslands (Icelandic Health Insurance) and what information is shared with them for settlement.

X-rays and other treatment records are kept with the patient record and are subject to the same rules.

You have the right to see your patient record, to receive a copy of it and to have incorrect information corrected. Requests for a copy can be sent to the email address below.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (personuvernd.is) or with the Directorate of Health (landlaeknir.is).
